SHERI GAIA CHAPIN toured the world as a professional modern ballet dancer and choreographer, and then ran a critically acclaimed dance theater company in San Francisco. Later, she turned her attention from the performance arts to the healing arts, teaching both Hatha yoga and T'ai Chi Chuan, as well as facilitating people along their spiritual path as a Reiki master and intuitive counselor. She views her study of criminal behavior as a kind of balance to her metaphysical pursuits. Publication of her debut novel, DARK MERCY, begins her lifelong dream of working author.

More novels are in the works, as well as a memoir/self-help guide about grief and recovery, written in memory of her husband, who died suddenly in 2008.
