Virginia Nygard, an editor with the online journal www.agoldenplace.com, is a member of the National League of American Pen Women, Florida Writers Association, the Treasure Coast Writers’ Guild, and leader of the Treasure Coast Writers' Group.
The 2009 short story anthology published by the Florida Writers Association, FWA Collection Volume 1- From Our Family to Yours,
includes the author’s 2008 prize-winning "Lucky", and a second entry, "Beloved". Her memoir, "Token Gifts" placed first in a contest sponsored by The Infinite Writer, and two poems, "Soliloquy for Sky" and "Vanishing Vision" were published in The Pen Woman magazine.
Her first women’s fiction novel Déjà Vu Dream, was released in 2008. Among other projects, her second book, Beyond Déjà Vu, is nearing completion.
She has appeared at Borders, the Miami Book Fair, various women's groups, and with the Treasure Coast Writers Guild at various book-signing events.
A former Connecticut teacher and West Palm Beach librarian, the author has contributed to educational journals and created numerous programs for children from toddlers to the middle grades. She resides in Port St. Lucie with her patient husband, Walter, and Bandit, a Chihuahua with attitude.
